I’m Courtney

NICE TO E-MEET YOU!

I'm the owner + creator of Carolina Roots Marketing.
I have nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, and created my own business in 2018 to achieve a better work life balance. No one told me owning your own business meant working 24/7, but I still wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s also why I love helping other business owners who realize we can’t do it all, and need to delegate.

I hail from North Carolina and also a proud Journalism & Mass Communication school grad from UNC, this is where I get the "Carolina Roots" part of my business name.

I spent my early years post college working in sports, which ultimately took me to Oklahoma, Arizona and Pittsburgh before returning to Charlotte in 2011.

After spending nearly 8 years in NASCAR, where I had a handful of roles (marketing included), I decided to create more flexibility for myself and spend more time with my son. I left that position to explore a few opportunities: managing my own online clothing boutique that was thriving and starting Carolina Roots Marketing that same summer. CRM has continued to evolve and thrive over the years, and here I am nearly 6 years in!
